Se tem recibos de leitura que não são enviados, ou estão a gerar erros, tente alterar o servidor de SMTP para a outra conta de correio e depois de novo para a inicial. Se mesmo assim elas não forem enviadas, pode apagá-las seguindo este passos:
Feche o Outlook, e faça o download e instale OutlookSpy.

Escolha a pasta que contem o item que precisa de apagar. Para os Recibos de Leitura, esta será a pasta de topo do arquivo de mensagens (Outlook Hoje).

Depois de escolher a pasta, clique no botão IMsgStore na barra do OutlookSpy.

Na nova janela, clique no botão Open Root Container no topo esquedo da janela para abrir uma nova janela.

Clique no separador GetContents Table. Os recibos serão listados à esquerda. Seleccione um recibo, clique no botão Open entry e surge uma nova janela.
(clique na imagem para ampliar) Clique em IMsgStore::Abort Submit. Clique OK, feche a janela. Escolha Delete. Repita para cada recibo. Feche todas as janelas do OutlookSpy e terminou. Feche o Outlook e desinstale o OutlookSpy.

Penso ter um problema semelhante com o meu outlook (2002), pois diz que está a enviar, quando a pasta está vazia. também não recebe, devolvendo mensagens de erro. e não deixa sequer apagar mensagens quer da caixa de entrada, quer dos items avariados.
Corri o download sugerido, mas o outlookspy não abre.
